Alan Goodman is a Ph.D. candidate in security studies at Kansas State University and an experianced US Army offcier. He is a leader with a demonstrated history of working within the US interagency, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations adept at conducting policy analysis through both literature reviews and data analysis. Skilled in negotiations, social network analysis, operational planning, crisis Management, conflict management, and strategic communications. He holds a Master's in Public Policy with a concentration in international development from American University, a Master’s of Military Arts and Sciences from the US Army Command and General Staff College, a Master’s of Arts in Military Operations from the Scholl of Advanced Military Studies, and a Bachelor’s in History from Christopher Newport University. Alan’s reseach focuses on irregular warfare, strategic coercion, and the use of civilian and political systems to shape conflict below the threshold of conventional war.
